Matthew Kocel's life is a testament to the power of music for transformation and spiritual awakening.

Once a disillusioned rock bassist chasing elusive success, he embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to become a globally renowned throat singer and healing musician (aka sound healer) inspiring souls across the world with his rare musical gift.

"Everything that symbolizes success in music eluded me until I let it all go, walked away, and discovered a higher calling. I had to surrender my dreams completely. Only then did music find its way back into my life," reflects Matthew on his profound evolution.

Combining throat singing, natural voice and acoustic instruments, Kocel creates an ethereal soundscape that seems to form a bridge between the worlds of spirit and matter.

The seismic breakthrough arrived in 1994 while Matthew was traversing the wilderness of South Park, Colorado. Struggling with the toxic environment of his job as a burlesque club manager, his soul yearned for nourishment.

As he ascended a mountain, an unexpected revelation occurred. With a spontaneous proclamation that a crystal must be nearby, Matthew stumbled upon a radiant quartz crystal just twenty feet away, glistening in the sunlight.

From that pivotal moment, everything changed. Upon returning to work, Matthew faced an unexpected farewell as his boss handed him his final paycheck. Two months later, his "best band ever" disbanded.

Although it seemed like the end of his musical journey, life had a different plan in store.
